Google seems to be interested in getting into just about everything. They are king of searches on the Internet. They have the number one browser for surfing the Internet. Android dominates mobile browsing. With Google Fiber they hope to disrupt Internet service providers.
Google just had their developers conference this week. I am not sure they did much to alleviate alot of people's (including Tesla founder Elon Musk) fears that they were becoming something akin to the mega AI from the Terminator movies.
Google's AI was so human-like they showed that it could call a hair salon to book an appointment without the salon employee even realizing that it was talking to a robot.
The AI will also be able to learn from you so that it will be able to pretty much wite emails for you. As you write it will suggest what it thinks should be the next word. It is not quite up to the point of "Send a love letter to my girlfriend," but it may be soon.
But, Google's AI will soon be able to speak in the voice of John Legend, in case that was something you were missing from your life.
